As a foster based rescue, we do not have a shelter facility. If you agree to foster an animal, you are expected to foster him/her until they are adopted. If issues arise with the animal, we need at least two weeks notice to be able to find another foster home. We NEVER bring an animal back to the shelter. Do you understand and agree to these terms? *

I understand that Rockwall Pets reserves the right to check on the welfare of my foster animal and the right to determine placement of any animal in its foster program. I acknowledge that the Rockwall Pets Foster Care Manual ("Manual") is provided as a link on our group Facebook page for fosters and volunteers and I am required to read it prior to taking a foster animal into my home. I understand that Rockwall Pets recommends that my foster animal(s) is to be kept separate from any other animals currently living in my home. I further agree to seek immediate medical attention at my discretion for any member of my household who is bitten or suffers any other physical injury resulting from interaction with my foster animal. I understand that Rockwall Pets will not reimburse me for any routine or non-emergency care for my foster animal(s) that is not pre-approved. (Initial below)*

I agree to assume the risks implicit in working with animals who may have been abandoned, neglected, mistreated, or who may suffer from an illness or disease. My participation in the Rockwall Pets Foster Program is entirely voluntary and without the promise or expectation of compensation. I have no known physical or mental condition that would impair my ability to participate in the Rockwall Pets Foster Program. I understand that Rockwall Pets may have limited knowledge of the behavior and medical backgrounds of the animals taken into the Rockwall Pets Foster Program. Therefore, I understand that Rockwall Pets makes no warranties or representations regarding my foster animal's health, behavior, temperament, age or breed. I further understand that environmental changes may affect and change the temperament of my foster animal(s). (Initial below)*

I understand and agree that Rockwall Pets, its members, officers, directors, agents and elected officials have no liability or responsibility of any nature for injuries or damage to any person, animal or property which may be caused by my foster animal(s) or my participation in the Rockwall Pets Foster Program. I understand that if a Rockwall Pets foster animal is transferred to another rescue/receiving group, I am relinquishing all claim to that animal. I will not attempt in any way to contact any receiving group for information, updates or photos. (Initial below)*

I, for myself and my heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, hereby release, indemnify and hold harmless Rockwall Pets, its members, officers, directors, agents, elected officials and their heirs, administrators, executors, successors and representatives from al, liability for and all risk of damage or bodily injury or death that may occur to me (including any injury based on negligence) now or hereafter in connection with my foster animal(s) and my participation in the Rockwall Pets Foster Program. I expressly agree that this release, waiver and indemnity is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the State of Texas and that if any portion is held invalid, the remainder shall continue in full force and effect. Social Network and Internet Posting Policy As a non-profit, public and community based 501(c)(3) charity, it is crucial that Rockwall Pets maintain a positive reputation, uphold the highest level of confidentiality, protect intellectual property, and maintain a positive presence in the public forum. Our reputation is a vital part of our ability to achieve our mission statement, maintain our current services, grow new programs and services, and recruit and retain quality volunteers. Volunteers who wish to contribute to online spaces such as blogs/vlogs, social networking sites, forums, photo and video sharing sites, must participate in a responsible manner. This policy is intended to help volunteers understand what is recommended and expected of them while doing so. In all personal postings, speak respectfully about Rockwall Pets, all volunteers, partners and competitors. DO NOT engage in name calling or behavior that will reflect negatively on our organization’s reputation. Please take caution when using the Rockwall Pets name, logo, address or other information in your personal profile. If you do identify Rockwall Pets in your personal profile, make every effort to make sure everything you post supports the positive reputation and integrity of Rockwall Pets. Disclosure of any sensitive, proprietary, financial or confidential information about Rockwall Pets is prohibited. Rockwall Pets frequently posts adoption videos and pictures that contain images of volunteers. If you do not want your image used for social media or publications, please let the person who captured the picture know immediately.
