All Volunteers at LAWS must be 18 or older. We are happy to have younger volunteers, and ask that if you are 13 through 17, you fill out our Junior Volunteer Application, also on our website.

Clean kennels, give care, food, water & socialize with animals. (We provide training)
Work with kittens/cats at LAWS office to improve adoptability
Work on making cat toys, beds, quilts, other items for foster cats and to sell. Can be at home or at LAWS in group.
Assist at microchip clinics, adoption events, other special events.
Work on fund raising events, incl. solicit support, work at event, plan events, publicize
Work on publicity: ads for events, radio spots, flyers, etc.
Spend 2 to 3 hours in LAWS office assisting public, working on projects, socializing kittens.
Help trap adults and catch kittens at feral colonies, get them to vets and adults back to site.
Do research and help form statewide coalition to press for better animal welfare laws
Check website 2-4 times weekly for old items, events to note (seasonal), suggest items to post, working with board and eventually with webmistress.
