Must be over 21 to complete this agreement

• No person who is suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be allowed to adopt.
• I understand that I am adopting a pet. 

• The cat(s) will be cared for and treated with love and respect. I agree to provide proper and sufficient food, water, shelter, medical attention, vaccinations, and humane treatment to my cat(s) at all times.

• I agree that I will NOT use the adopted cat(s) as barn cats or mousers. 

• I agree to keep this adopted cat/kitten INDOORS ONLY.

• I agree NOT TO DECLAW the adopted cat/kitten.

• I will not abandon my cat(s), or use them for animal fighting purposes, experimental purposes, or as a food animal.

• I understand Purrific Rescue offers an "Adoption Guarantee: Love your new cat, or let us know. We'll make it right". Purrific Rescue has resources to help me and my new cat(s) adjust and be successful. If I am having any problems with my new cat(s) I will take advantage of the Adoption Guarantee.

• If the problems are behavior-related, I will research training options. If I am unable to resolve the issue, I may return my cat(s) to Purrific Rescue.

• I will email purrificrescue@gmail.com to return the animal or request rehoming information. I will be offered to exchange the returned cat for a different cat.

• I understand that Purrific Rescue may have limited information regarding my new cat(s) and does not make any warranty as to age, health, breed, habits, temperament, and disposition.

• I accept the adopted cat as-is and assume all risks of ownership of the pet.

• I understand that Purrific Rescue is under no obligation to reimburse me for any medical treatment, expense or fees incurred in connection with my cat after I’ve taken possession of the pet unless it was due to a known pre-existing condition(s).

• To ensure the good health of my new cat, I am encouraged to enroll in pet insurance and to schedule a pet wellness visit with my personal vet within 30 days from adoption.

Purrific Rescue reserves the right to refuse adoption for any reason.

I certify that all the above information is true and accurate. I understand that I am adopting a pet from Purrific Rescue and this document is a legal and binding contract.
