Foster Medical Policy

Medical Policy: Wags and Whiskers wants all dogs in foster care to receive the appropriate medical attention. Please call (530) 852-1515 if you believe your foster needs medical attention.

I AGREE to honor appointments set by Wags and Whiskers to get spayed or neutered.*

I AGREE to bring the foster dog to get the vaccinations within a week of the listed dates on the application. *

I UNDERSTAND that all basic medical expenses for each foster dog that comes into my care will be covered by WAGS AND WHISKER’S PET RESCUE, provided that an authorized WAGS AND WHISKER’S PET RESCUE representative has approved the medical expenses, and the care is from a WAGS AND WHISKER’S PET RESCUE designated veterinarian. Please call (530) 852-1515 if you believe your foster needs medical attention. *

I UNDERSTAND that if I choose to go to a vet of my choosing without approval from Wags and Whiskers, I may be responsible for the vet bill.*

Foster Release of Liability

Release of Liability

I UNDERSTAND that this document provides for the release of liability of Wags & Whiskers Pet Rescue, and its staff on account of the actions of any dog of any breed, which has been released into my care.*

I UNDERSTAND that WAGS AND WHISKER’S PET RESCUE and its staff cannot guarantee actions or disposition of any fostered dog placed into Foster Care with me.*

I UNDERSTAND that although reasonable effort has been made to assess the disposition of each dog 0released to WAGS AND WHISKER’S PET RESCUE beforehand, the dog may act unpredictably in any given situation, and that I must take necessary precautions to prevent accidents and guard against unpredicted actions by any fostered dog in my care.*

I AGREE that at no time will I allow any fostered dog to be a nuisance to people or other animals.*

I AGREE to keep any fostered dog in my care safely confined in a fenced yard or kennel run or inside a house or garage when the dog is not with me or a member of my family.*

I AGREE that at no time will any foster dog be placed outside on a tie-out (in a yard, in front of cafe, store etc.)*

I AGREE that when off of my property, any fostered dog will be kept on a leash at all times. Bully breeds and large dogs shall never be allowed off leash and shouldn’t go to a dog park even if they are on leash.*

I UNDERSTAND that WAGS AND WHISKER’S PET RESCUE recommends the use of a dog crate for confinement inside the house and requires the use of ID tags on the dog’s collar in accordance with California law. *

I UNDERSTAND that the ownership of the foster dogs remains with Wags and Whiskers Pet Rescue and that Wags and Whiskers retains the right to remove a foster dog from my care at any time.*

I AGREE to let Wags and Whiskers keep a copy of my driver’s license on file.*
