Dreamweaver Farms is a limited entry facility that does not euthanize for space once animals are accepted into our life saving programs. About half of our dogs come from owners who can no longer care for them or owners who have passed away and whose family can not care for the dogs. At CPR we understand that lives sometimes change and we are committed to working with our relinquishing families to find the best possible new situation for that dog.
In working with owners who must give up their dogs, one of the things we’ve learned is that it is in the dog’s best interest to go to our farm to seek their new home. While many owners want to maintain the dog in their home, it is very difficult for a relinquishing owner to work with potential new owners. It’s also easier for a dog to do a meet and greet with their new family without the pressure of seeing their previous family sad or upset.
We do not do courtesy cross postings for families who wish to maintain the dog in their home.
If you would like CPR to take in a dog, please complete the following questionnaire. Our intake coordinators will be in touch.
