In the event that an animal shows signs of illness or injury, I will notify my Foster Coordinator immediately. ARR cannot guarantee the health of any foster pet, nor is ARR responsible for any illness or injury caused to current pets in household by foster pet. (Please initial)*

I will obtain ARR approval for obtaining veterinary care at a Pre-Approved Veterinary Clinic. ARR will be responsible for the cost of care ONLY at a Pre-Approved Veterinary Clinic or after arranging for a professional discount with other veterinary clinics. *

I agree to bring my foster pet to a minimum of one adoption event per month and will continue to bring my pet to as many adoption events as possible until my foster pet is adopted. I will notify the Adoption Event Coordinator if I need help transporting my pet to or from an event.*

All foster pets shall be provided with a secure area, including shelter from the elements. The fostered pet will not be kept tied or chained.*

Foster pets will not remain in cars unattended or unsupervised for extended periods of time, especially during cold or hot weather. Pets will be transported in secure crates to avoid potential injuries or escape from vehicles.*

Will you agree that the foster pet will not remain overnight in the care of anyone other than yourself*

If the foster pet requires behavioral training, I will accommodate A.R.R. in scheduling and coordinating training sessions. I will assist in positive training for basic household manners.*

If the foster pet is a dog, I agree to use a correctly fitted harness or Martingale collar at all times when the foster pet is not in a secure and enclosed area within the foster home. I will not allow the dog to roam freely at any time, even for potty breaks.*

If the foster pet is a dog that will go to work with me, I agree to ensure the dog behaves appropriately in an office setting.*

Do you understand and agree that ARR foster cats and kittens must stay indoors at all times?*

I acknowledge that the foster pet remains the property of A.R.R. If I fail to return the foster pet to A.R.R. at the end of the foster period, A.R.R. will notify me by phone first of the reclamation and ask that the animal be returned. If necessary, A.R.R. will notify you by mail, return receipt requested. The notice shall state clearly the circumstances under which A.R.R. is acting. If the animal is in such a circumstance to endanger its health, well being, or life, A.R.R. may recover the pet immediately or call animal control authorities to recover the animal on behalf of A.R.R. Any decision of A.R.R. is final as to whether the pet will be returned to me.*

I hereby release A.R.R., its Board of Directors, and volunteers, from any claim, cause of action, or liability for any injury or damage to self, persons, or property once the pet is in my foster care. ARR does not guarantee the health of any foster pet and is not financially responsible for any illness or injury caused to current pets in household.*

A limit of two (2) foster pets may be fostered at the same time by the same person. There may be exceptions as approved by A.R.R.*

Will you consent to A.R.R. doing home checks prior to and during the care of the foster pet.*

I have read and familiarized myself with the foster pet's file. I understand the foster pet's specific needs and have been educated on the proper ways of working with this foster pet's special needs, including any illnesses, injuries, or behavior issues.*

I will ensure compliance with all applicable local ordinances and state statutes regarding ownership of Pet. If I am charged with violating any such ordinance or statute while in possession of Pet, I understand that Rescue is not responsible for obtaining legal counsel for me or for paying any fines or penalties assessed. *

If I wish to terminate this agreement, I will notify A.R.R. immediately to arrange for the foster pet's return to A.R.R.*

Any violation of the terms of this agreement shall be grounds for immediate termination of said agreement and the foster pet shall be immediately surrendered to A.R.R. This agreement may be terminated with or without cause at the sole discretion of A.R.R.*
