Thank you for your interest in our available dogs! Our adoption process usually takes about 2-3 days from application to meet & greet. We want to ensure that our animals get placed in the proper home, so please be patient and understand that we require certain details for approval.
Complete the application.
Provide a valid ID.
Applicants must be Illinois residents OR live within 50 miles of GILBERTS, IL.
Applicants must be 21 years or older OR own their own home.
Verify home ownership (property tax bill from the county website - this is public record - however, providing it helps speed up the process).
If you rent, we will need a copy of your lease and landlord contact so we can verify pets are allowed and what the restrictions are.
Utility bill mailed to home address.
Veterinary reference and vet records of any current pets, or pets owned in the last 5 years.
Once your application and all required documents are received/ reviewed, we will contact you to 1) discuss your application and the animal you applied for and 2) schedule a meet & greet with all family members and other household pets (dogs).
Our applications are processed on a 'first come, first served' basis. HOWEVER, we will select the home that is the best fit for the animal.
