The NON-REFUNDABLE adoption fee is not a sale price but a requested amount to defer or reimburse Twice Purrfect Feline Rescue for medical and other expenses incurred during the care of the cat prior to adoption. This includes the spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations and microchipping.
The cat shall not be sold, given to, or adopted to anyone else, nor shall there be transfer of ownership to any firm, corporation or organization of other homeless animals such as a rescue facility or shelter at any point in the future.
The cat shall be returned to Twice Purrfect Feline Rescue in the event the Adopter chooses to relinquish the cat in the future. Adopter will bear any and all fees for court cost and attorney fees if the Rescue has to redeem the cat via legal resources.
All cats must receive rabies vaccinations as required by law in the state of Colorado. The adopter agrees to obtain these vaccines as well as immediate vet care for the cat should it become ill or injured and takes full financial responsibility for this care following adoption.
Rescuer makes no explicit or implicit guarantees in reference to the health and\or temperament of the cat. All information shared on health and temperament is provided based on the personal observations of the Rescue/Foster during the time the cat has been with the Rescue. The cat is accepted “as is” and the Adopter assumes responsibility for treatment of all existing conditions, and any other conditions of physical or temperament changes that may occur. Rescuer cannot guarantee the health of any animal, and shall not be held responsible for any medical expenses incurred.

I understand that the cat I am taking into my home may not be used to living indoors and may scratch or soil my furniture or belongings. I am willing to train the cat and give it time to adjust to new surroundings and litter box training. I will use only positive reinforcement for training and will not use any kind of physical punishment regardless of the actions of the cat
I understand that the shelter environment and being moved around is very stressful and my cat may take some time to adjust to new situations, people and other animals in the home. I shall refrain from any abuse of the animal and will not treat the cat in a mean, cruel or physically rough manner.
I agree to provide the cat with adequate food, water, and shelter at all times.
As per the American Veterinary Medical Association, declawing is considered to be an amputation and is considered a major surgery. I agree that I will not consider declawing (onychectomy) of my cat.
I understand that this adoption process can take several weeks in order to match with the purrfect companion. I am aware that this process does not occur overnight and will respect the time and schedules of the rescue volunteers.
