Foster homes are vital to the success of any rescue organization. When a dog comes into rescue, it generally is in a shelter and then a boarding kennel -- both places that are "instituational" compared to a home. As a foster home, you re-acclimate the dog to home living, teach - or reteach - him or her basic manners, and make the dog as adoptable as possible. For the Love of Dog covers all of the dog's medical expenses, and provides food and supplies when available. Foster families are asked to attend one meet & greet per month.
